Introduction
YAYASAN MR. D.I.Y. welcomes requests for in-kind donations that aim to create a meaningful impact in the following key areas:
Organisations interested in applying for donations are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and exclusions carefully. Due to the high number of requests received, only applications that meet the criteria will be given priority consideration. Ensure requests are submitted at least nine (9) weeks prior to the proposed event or initiative.
All donation requests must be submitted through the online application form. Submissions via other channels will not be considered.
To improve the efficiency of handling contribution requests and to facilitate prompt donation disbursement, applications falling under the following exclusion categories will not be considered for review.
Organisations seeking funding must be officially registered with the appropriate authorities, such as the Registrar of Societies Malaysia.
Organisations must be based in and carry out their operations within Malaysia.
Organisations must show a direct positive impact in at least one of the Foundation’s focus areas and align with its guiding principles.

- Political parties and organizations
- Lobby groups and political affiliates
- Commercial or for-profit entities
- Blacklisted or unregistered businesses and NGOs
- Organizations linked to gambling, alcohol, or tobacco
- Employees of MR. D.I.Y. Group or its subsidiaries
- Personal pursuits or individual-based requests
- Individual medical aid
- Internship, job attachment, or practicum programs
- Scholarships or educational assistance
- Fundraising or charity events
- Commercially oriented events
- Professional conferences, forums, trade shows
- Parties, celebrations, celebratory gatherings, parades, festivals and lotteries
- Employee salaries or wage-related funding
- Loans or investment requests
- Items for fundraising events or auctions
- Budget deficit coverage
- Private educational institution fees (pre-school to secondary)
- IT software or license costs
- Causes or entities with a religious focus
- Corporate sponsorship requests
- Stakeholder relations or partnerships
- Requests tied to social licenses or business operations
- Development or promotion of media (books, films, TV, websites, etc.)
- Merchandise promotion, partnerships, or advertising campaigns
- Construction of new facilities or spaces
- Infrastructure development (roads, pavements, bridges)
- Permanent installation of utilities like electrical, telecommunications, or network systems

To help streamline contribution requests and ensure timely donation processing, applications falling under the following exclusion categories will be considered only after priority requests have been addressed. For instance, YAYASAN MR. D.I.Y. does not support any religious or political causes and therefore excludes requests from organizations or individuals associated with these areas.
How and when will I be informed about the outcome of my donation request, and what is the expected timeline for receiving the donation?
Once a decision has been made, YAYASAN MR. D.I.Y. will notify the applicant through email, which will also include the necessary steps for the sponsorship. Typically, once all required documents are received in full, the sponsorship process is completed within 2 to 3 weeks.
Will I be notified about the status of my donation application?
We will only contact applicants if further information is needed or if the application is successful. If you do not receive any feedback within 14 working days, it means your application has not been successful.
Will my application be considered if it falls under the exclusion list?
While you are welcome to submit your request, please note that applications that meet our eligibility requirements and do not fall under our exclusion criteria will be given first consideration. Requests outside these parameters may be reviewed at our discretion, depending on available resources.
